DOUBLE TROUBLE!

Over this weekend, the Houston SPCA was offering free pet adoptions so my husband asked me on Friday if I wanted to get a kitten! Well, OF COURSE I did! So saturday morning we got ready & drove half an hour to look at the LOTS of kittens. I read the article on their website the night before, and the would provide spay/neutering, all their shots up to their current age, as long as they were over three months. We looked at all the kittens/cats that they had to offer, and then we went on to the back room where they were storing many, many more; that they did not have room for in the normal feline area. I saw two kittens that were absoultely ADORABLE! They came from the same litter, I couldn't decide which one was cuter & I didn't know how I was going to either; they were also under three months- they were two months! I knew what that meant- that we would have to get their next round of shots at our own expense. The volunteer loaded the two kittens up in a pet carrier & took us to "get aquainted" My husband then asks "Honey, how would you feel about gettin two kittens?" What do you think my answer was?? Of course, i do! Our concern was that the cat would become distressed alone from the other kittens he/she had been with since birth and we didn't want that. So, we adopted both. Their names were Tray & Chandley, but since they were so little, I wanted to change their names. I always liked the name Max, so we chose Max & Mia just went with it :]
Aiden absolutely loves them! He keeps trying to pick them up & kiss them on their noses! We don't want him to yet because it's still too soon & they're not use to Aiden.
Growing up, my mom was allergic to cats- so we never had one. I don't really know what to expect or how they react with children.

Meet Max!

Meet Mia!

Excuse his NO diaper, Buts its adorable!

The kittens need lots of rest because they just had their spay/neuter surgeries, so at bedtime we have been putting them in the bathroom to minimize their activity level. Well once I put them in the bathroom, Aiden gets very UPSET. He starts crying like he is in so much pain. HE LOVES THEM! :)

On another note, today we have a busy, busy day! we are planning another baby, so we could use a bigger car. We just bought my Nissan Cube a year ago, and my husband leases a Volkswagon Jettta. However, the lease will be up in August & VW is offering us the car for 12,000- we are thinking of buying it and selling it to CARMAX if they can give us a better deal, and then we can buy a little van or something. We have tested all the carseats in my car, and they fit! BUT its a little tight. I would like to have the option of taking my kids friends places if they wanted, or going on a long trip without the kids being uncomfortable. So we are looking at other options so that Breannas booster seat, Aidens forward facing carseat, and new baby's infant seat can all fit comfortably!

Then later tonight, my mom & sister are coming over, and me and Ismael will be going on a date :) yay! We want to go to dinner & a movie, but don't want my mom stuck here for hours on end, so we are going to the drafthouse-where we can eat & watch the movie at the same time! why not kill two birds with one stone?!
